Winter is upon us, and while many of us are fortunate to double layer, and rush home to heated apartments, even more of our neighbors will freeze to death on our doorsteps.

#soonforward has partnered with ShelterSuit, who designs and manufactures multifunctional products that provide immediate shelter to people experiencing homelessness. This “coat” can be worn as such during the day, transitions easily into a sleeping bag, and collapses entirely as a backpack for easy transportation. Made from recycled materials, it is not only extremely warm, but leaves almost no carbon footprint.

#soonforward and luxury fashion designer Gabriela Hearst, have sponsored the first 250 ShelterSuits, saving the lives of 250 unsheltered New Yorkers. Help save another 250 lives by donating today.

Sheltersuit is a design driven NGO with real streetwear in its DNA. Creating multifunctional products that provide immediate shelter to people experiencing homelessness. Our products are produced in our own social factories in The Netherlands and South Africa. Since 2014 Sheltersuit has given warmth to over 12,500 people, created 112 jobs for refugees and former homeless people and up cycled 21.000 kilograms of leftover material in the process.
